HIMIKO TROGA SERIES
They all use physical violence on the daily.īakugo at the beginning of the series is entirely combat focused and takes an almost sadistic glee in beating the shit out of his opponents, yelling DIE when he fights, and threatening to blow people to pieces. She is no more violent than any other hero. The only difference between her and every other hero is that she loves fighting. Seeing a female that loves fighting and is good at fighting in a male dominated genre and series will obviously get people excited. Not just that, she comes from a genre that lauds fighting. So, someone who likes fighting working in a job that requires fighting is a no-brainer. The are singular entities, that are sometimes associated with organizations, who are paid to take out enemies, almost exclusively with violence.

Heroes are more akin to mercenaries in my opinion. Mirko comes from a culture where physically fighting bad guys is lauded as heroic and cool. How the entire UA entrance exam was biased towards those who could cause the most physical harm.Ĭan you think of a single villain in this series that has been arrested without the use of force? See how physical quirks like All Might's and Bakugou's are idealized while non-combative one's like Shinso's and Aizawa's are overlooked. In fact, it almost seems to be expected of them. While cops are expected to be as peaceful as possible, heroes almost exclusively use violence. I would argue mha heroes are much different than cops. She is a wannabe Harley and arguably even a wannabe yandere. Toga though? She could never have that depth. There's a reason Harley became such a popular character and its sad to see these days she has been broken down into "cute, quirky, crazy girl" when she used to be so much deeper and so much more tragic.
HIMIKO TROGA FREE
With a sinking heart, the viewers realize she is far to brainwashed to be able to escape her relationship with him and that she'll never be free of the Joker's influence. Just as the viewers get their hopes up that she'll leave him, she sees he sent her a rose and an apology letter and falls for him again. Later, we see her wake up in a hospital, expressing she'll never forgive him. The Joker arrives and, instead of being happy, he attempts to murder her. It all ultimately culminated in the episode where Harley kidnaps Batman, believing this will be what gets Joker to love her. Like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit, he kept her chasing an ideal relationship that would never be. Joker was undeniably abusive yet, he always made sure to treat her just nice enough every once in a while to keep her from leaving. Harley Quinn wasn't just about showing Joker's twistedness (although that was definitely a part), it was also showing the disturbing reality of an abusive relationship.
